Please
adhere to the following guidelines when requesting an interpreter or
translation of a written document.
1.
Please fill out a request form and indicate the deadline date and the language
needed by downloading the file from this link
. This helps to document and organize the work so that your request can
be processed in a timely manner.
2.
Please do not submit A.S.A.P. requests. Requests indicated as “A.S.A.P.” will
not be completed without an actual date.
3. For
school documents, please submit your requests 5-10 business days in advance and
in Word format. (This may vary depending on the document length. If
it will take longer, you will be notified.)
4. For
one-page fliers*, please submit 5 days in advance. If the document is 2
or more pages in length, please allow 10 business days for completion.
5. For
parent/teacher conferences/school activities please give a 2-3 day notice, if
possible. This is to allow time to secure an interpreter.
6.
Please DO NOT contact the interpreter directly. Initial notification must
be made through the Translation Office first. This is for the purposes of
maintaining confidentiality, scheduling, clarification of assignment, and
payroll.
7.
For all other requests please phone or email me. Hopefully, this will assist
in meeting the needs of some of our families. I look forward to working
with you and have a GREAT year!
