Priority:  To have students graduate from High School

Indicator:  Graduation statistic of students entering 9th grade and graduating at the end of the fourth school year.

Type of report:  Bar/Line graph

Report frequency:  Annual

Responsible for metric:     Registrar at High School enters graduation date in student record in Discovery database.
Technology Department to build data cube and run reports

Distribution:  Cabinet, Principals and Board of Education

When:  One week after graduation ceremony in June

Determination of metric:
The number of graduates divided by the first-time ninth grade enrollment from four years prior, less students transferred out plus students transferred in multiplies by 100.  [Numerator = number of graduates; denominator = (9th grade enrollment – transfers out) + transfers in].  “Transfers out” include students from the freshman class who transferred to another school or died prior to graduation.  “Transfer in” encompass (2004-05) graduates who were not counted in the first-time ninth grade 2001 fall enrollment; they may include students who transferred from another school, students with or without disabilities, and students who graduated in fewer to more than four years. (As defined by the Illinois State Board of Education)
