Rock Island High School was fortunate to be part of a grant designed to bring WWII Veterans and students together in an interview process with the end result being a recorded interview that would be posted on the web.

Each project takes an estimated 50-100 man hours to complete depending on the length and complexity of the interview. Students not only do the interviews, but also are responsible for editing the product for posting on the internet. This involves taking the one to one and a half hour interview and reducing it to a 15 -20 minute product that will fit on the web. Students not only receive insight of one of the most important historical events in our history, but gain experience in the story telling/technical editing skills needed in the posting of these stories.
Below are the links to the last three years of interviews. The first being collections of photos from the interviews by year and and the last being a link to the site containing all the interviews from Illinois schools at the official site.
