For a member to remain in “good standing,” a student must earn 15 points each quarter.  A student should average about 2 points a week and attend at least one major function/service event a semester.  Students may earn specific points according to the following scale.

All meetings and activities approved by sponsor in advance.

Meetings:
Attending meeting +1 point
Attending meeting wearing Student Council t-shirt +2 points

Committees:
Attending and contributing to a committee meeting +1 point

Projects:
All projects typically earn +1 point per hour of work.
(Examples are decorating for dances, running tables for service projects, fundraisers, etc.)

Special Activities:
A student my accumulate +1 point per 1 hour of special activity participation.
(Example: IJHSSC Convention, Summer Workshops, bringing supplies for dances, etc.)

Service Hours:
A student may accumulate +1 point for 1 hour of approved community service.
Rules for the hour of service must be:
-Done outside of the school setting (unless approved by Mr. Inman)
