Washington Jr. High 8th grader Stephanie Kerno was crowned Rock Island-Milan School District Spelling Bee champion at the district wide Spelling Bee on Thursday, Feb. 7. She will advance to the regional competition with four other students. Congratulations Stephanie!
Ellie Hoeper will be representing Washington’s Lights On For Learning Drama Team at an upcoming taping of a roundtable discussion on bullying. Ellie was chosen because of her leadership on the Drama Team’s anti-bullying efforts that went state-wide last year.
