Congratulations to our WJHS swim athletes that competed yesterday against Glenview! Considering our combined team with Edison, 11 swimmers and Glenview who had over 50 swimmers you all did an awesome job!! 1st – Boys 200 yd Medley Relay - Kurgan Macias, George Pappas, Adam Cady, John Ponsetto; 1st – Boys 50 yd Freestyle – Kurgan Macias; 1st – Boys 100 IM – George Pappas; 2nd – Boys 100 IM – John Ponsetto;1st – Boys 50 Butterfly – John Ponsetto; 2nd – Boys 50 Butterfly – Adam Cady; 2nd – Boys 50 Backstroke – Adam Cady; 1st – Boys 50 Breaststroke – George Pappas; 2nd – Boys 50 Breaststroke – Kurgan Macias; 1st – Boys 200 Freestyle Relay – George Pappas, Adam Cady, Kurgan Macias, John Ponsetto
There will be no SWIM practice today (Thursday) and Friday. Starting next week there will be 2 practices each day, newer swimmers @ 10:00 and experienced swimmers @ 11:00. Swim practice will not conflict with track practice.
8th Graders going to Washington D.C. – The final mandatory meeting is Thursday, March 10 at 5 P.M. at Edison Junior High cafeteria. This will be the last opportunity to ask questions about the trip. The trip is Saturday, March 19 through Monday, March 21st. If you can not make it contact Mr. Copeland at Edison.
All boy tennis players will meet in the small gym at 3:15 all week. Make sure all paperwork is turned in & $20 for participation fee paid in the main office.
This is it…if you have not purchased a yearbook, make sure you order one by FRIDAY MORNING. The order will be submitted Friday afternoon to the yearbook company. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ORDER A BOOK WHEN WE RETURN FROM BREAK.
QUIET STUDYHALL WILL BE CLOSED ALL THIS WEEK AFTER SCHOOL.
Track practice today – You must have completed paperwork and sport physical before practicing. Practice will be every day from 2:45-4:00 unless there is a meet. A $20 participation fee must be paid before the first meet.
