Rock Island and Milan are vibrant, walkable and bikeable communities! The Rock Island-Milan School District encourages students to walk or bike to school in a safe manner.

Safe Routes to School is a national program that seeks to increase the number of students and parents safely walking and bicycling to school. The program not only encourages increased physical activity through walking and bicycling, but also community awareness and education in an attempt to sustain healthy behaviors.
