Eugene Field Wins the 2012 Golden Rake!

Eugene Field Elementary is the 2012 winner of the Golden Rake Award! The award is presented by the Keep Rock Island Beautiful organization. Each year, members of the organization conduct an elementary school campus clean-up survey around the City of Rock Island. The “Golden Rake Award” is presented to the elementary school which receives the best score for having a litter free campus.
“We really appreciate the time our Eugene Field students, parents – and even grandparents – take to make our school a beautiful place to be,” said Eugene Field Principal Dennis Weiss. “Everyone takes pride in this school and it shows.”
