Rock Island High School Homecoming 2010

Rock Island High School is gearing up for a multitude of events for Homecoming Week Sept. 27-Oct. 1, 2010.
Week long activities include: Monday: Crazy Hair/Mismatch Day; Tuesday: Represent your idol/person you admire (ex: dress like a teacher or a positive influence in your life); Wednesday: Class color day (Freshman/Pink, Sophomore/Orange, Junior/Purple, Senior/Blue. Wednesday afternoon the Junior girls take on the Senior girls in the annual tug-of-war competition on the East Lawn after school (early out Wednesday at 2:10 p.m.). Thursday is RED-GOLD Day.
The Homecoming parade will be held on Thursday, Sept 30 at 3:15 p.m., starting at 24th Street & 18th Avenue, heading south on 24th Street and then west on 25th Avenue, ending at the high school. The public is invited to attend.
Friday evening Rocky Football take on the Galesburg Silver Streaks with sophomore kickoff at 5:00 p.m. The Homecoming Court will be announced on the track at approximately 6:40 p.m. and then the Varsity Football team takes the field at 7:30 p.m. Saturday brings and end to the activities with the Homecoming Dance at the Rock Island High School East Gymnasium, 8:00 – 11:00 p.m.
