Rock Island Alumni & Community Members Honored at Awards Dinner

The Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation honored the 2010 Rock Island Legends and Founders Circle award winners at a special recognition dinner at the Abbey Station on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The Rock Island Legend alumni award winners were William Appier ’43, Dr. James Davis ’61 and Mark DeBarr ’69 and the 2010 Founders Circle award winners were Grant ’34 and Virginia Brissman.
The Rock Island Legends is an honor group for Rock Island High School Alumni who have made significant contributions to furthering the mission of the Rock Island School District. The Founder’s Circle is an honor group for persons who have not graduated from Rock Island High School but have made significant contributions to furthering the mission of the Rock Island School District.
