Rally at the Rock this Friday!

The 9th Annual Rock Island High School “Rally at the Rock” back to school celebration will be held on Friday, August 10, 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. on the East Lawn of the school. Rock Island High School students will be treated to free hot dogs, chips and water/pop (courtesy of the Rock Island-Milan Booster Club) and will have a chance to see all of the club and activity offerings available.
The Pride of Rock Island Marching Band will kick off the event. Cheerleaders will also be performing and students will be participating in tug-of-war, three-legged race and water balloon toss.
“This event is a great tradition for the school,” said Principal Tim Wernentin. “It is also a great way for students to learn about and get involved with our many student clubs and organizations.”
All Rocky staff, students, and their families are invited to this annual back to school event as a way to kick off the year and celebrate completing the first week of the new school year. There is no cost for admission.
