April 24 & 25 PSAE Testing Information

Parents and Guardians:
As we enter the final quarter of the 2011-12 school year, I want to thank you for the time, effort, and energy you have provided as we work together for your student’s success.  We are asking for your assistance on a number of important activities to complete this school year.  On April 24 and 25, our juniors will be completing the Prairie State Achievement Examination; with only junior students attending school on April 24 and a modified schedule for all students on April 25 (see schedule at bottom of page).  These assessments are critical not only for the individual students, but they serve as an accountability measure for Rock Island High School.  Please help us emphasize to students the importance of putting forth their best effort on both days of testing.

If you have a graduating senior, make sure you check our website (http://rockislandschools.org/riec/rihs/) regularly for senior announcements that include important dates, times, and events.  For all other parents/guardians, assist us by reminding your student that 100% effort needs to be maintained to ensure credits are being earned, grade point averages are increased, and attendance in all classes is required.

Any condition (unpaid fine or fee) that remains needs to be paid in order for your student to participate in a number of school events.  You can pay conditions in the main office.
