COLOR GUARD AUDITIONS
Calling all students interested in being a part of the 2012 Pride of Rock Island Color Guard! You’ve seen them at halftime of the football games in the fall, now is your chance to come audition to be a part of this Award Winning group. Whether you like to dance or have just always thought it would be fun to spin a flag, come out on March 7th at 6:30 in the Small Gym and watch the winter guard perform. After the performance there will be an informational meeting on how to audition for the Color Guard this fall. Come see what it’s all about, what are you waiting for?! See you on March 7th!”
PROM COMMITTEE
There will be a prom committee meeting on Thursday after school in room 211. Be there!
CLUBS
The Interact club is having a bake sale today, after school, outside the auditorium. Stop by and get your sweets.
COUNSELING NEWS
Augustana Summer Academy presents high school students with an opportunity to spend time studying on campus. Students will learn something new, follow a passion and develop a career interest. Courses include The Amazing Brain, CSI, Flute Boot Camp, Return to Hogwarts, Safari, and Speech Pathologist. Please stop by the counseling office for more information.
YSB and LOFL
YSB members will meet in room 226 on Wednesday during 5th period. Passes will be issued during 3rd and 4th period.
Lights On For Learning tutorials are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30pm to all Rocky students in Math, English, ELL, and Credit Recovery. Computer Concepts are available on Tuesdays and Latino Awareness meets on every other Thursday in the Library. Study Skills are available Monday-Friday 7:00-7:55 a.m. and 3:15-4:14 p.m. Regular attendees are eligible for great field trip experiences and prizes. Please see Mrs. Johnson in room 226 for an application and further information.
SPORTS
Attention Rocks Swimmers: Coach Bramer will be at the pool after school Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, this week for equipment collection. Remember not turning in your cap, warm-ups, and travel bag will result in a condition and fine. Also the swim banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 6th at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
