BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Beginning with the 2002 French Open, the Williams Sisters, Venus and Serena, played each other in four consecutive Grand Slam Tennis singles finals, which was the first time in the open era that the same two players competed in four consecutive Grand Slam finals. The pair have won 12 Grand Slam doubles titles together. Serena is the first player, male or female, to win 5 Australian Open titles during the open era. The pair has also won two Olympic gold medals in women’s doubles. This moment in Black History has been brought to you by the RIHS African-American Heritage Club.
SWIRL
Attention Students: Anyone who buys a swirl ticket for Saturday’s dance will have their name entered in a drawing for 2 – $20 Buffalo wild Wings gift cards donated by the Letterman’s Club. The winners will be announced after 6th period on Friday. Ticket prices are now $15 and you need to buy your ticket today.

Attention Junior and Senior Pacers: There is no meeting today, please stay in class.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
An NHS meeting for senior invitees will be Friday morning at 7:00 in Mr. Hawley’s room, #126. Please come prepared and use your letter as a pass to the meeting.

Upward Bound will meet in Room 302 after school today. We will meet until 5:15 pm.
COUNSELING
Northern Illinois University will be hosting a Health Careers Camp this summer for high school students. If you would like to learn about a variety of health careers and life on a college campus, stop by the counseling office for an application.
