Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year. The following information will assist you in the registration process for your student(s).
Registration after the school year starts
After the school year has started please visit the Main Office for new and returning student registrations. Please review the information below from Summer 2012 registration.
Information from Summer 2012 Registration:
Thursday, July 19, 2012, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Friday, July 20, 2012, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Makeup date: Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
No registration on July 23 & 24
First Day of School: Friday, August 3, 2012
(Students will be in attendance all day August 3 – 8:35 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.)
Registration Fees: $70.00
Driver’s Ed: $100.00
Gym Shirts: $4.00
Gym Shorts: $5.00
Yearbook: $35.00 – (a separate check will be needed if ordering a yearbook)
Fees can be paid with cash, check or money order. Credit/Debit Cards cannot be accepted.

a. Home Language Survey – (Home Language Survey Spanish) – Must be completed if new to the District

d. Physical – Required for incoming 9th graders and students new to the district (form available at physician’s office).
e. Military Family Questionnaire – To be completed if the student has any immediate family members serving in any branch of the military, or working as a DOD Civilian or Contractor

Student schedules will be passed out at registration. THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, STUDENTS ARE TO BRING THEIR SCHEDULES AND REPORT TO THEIR FIRST PERIOD CLASS.
Cafeteria: The cafeteria is cashless. Funds are deposited in your student’s account, and your student’s ID card is used as a debit card to purchase food. A separate check is needed if you would like to deposit money into your student’s cafeteria account during registration.
Conditions: Arrangements must be made for payment of back fees or fines before registration. Call the Main Office at 793-5950 ext 2002/2003 to make these arrangements.
Counselors: The Counseling Department will be open during registration week. Please contact Mrs. Pitcher at 793-5950 ext. 2010 for an appointment to see your counselor.
Fee Waivers: A Fee Waiver application must be completed for each student on a separate form. Incomplete applications can not be processed.
ID Cards: All RIHS students are required to wear a photo ID on a lanyard around their neck. ID pictures will be taken during registration.
Parking Permits: Students are required to have a parking permit to park in the student lot. These permits cost $10.00 and will be available at registration. To obtain a parking permit, the student will need his/her driver’s license, proof of insurance, license plate number and cash or a separate check for the $10.00 fee.
PE Uniforms: All students are required to wear athletic shoes and the school PE uniform (school issued t-shirt and shorts). For students needing to purchase or replace uniforms, they may be purchased during registration. Cost is $4 for the t-shirt and $5 for the shorts.
Physicals: All incoming ninth graders and students new to the district are required to have a physical.
School Pictures: School pictures will NOT be taken during registration. There will be a later date announced for school pictures.
