There is a PBA (Performance Based Assessment) which contains 5 tests; and EOY (End of Year) which contains 3 tests.  Results from PARCC are compiled after the EOY test.  The EOY test for Ridgewood will begin April 27th and be completed by May 6th.  If you have any questions regarding state testing, please contact the office.   Nurse’s Corner Parents of 5th graders:  Help us reach our goal of 100% participation with 6th Grade physicals.  A packet will be sent home with your child on Monday April 6th with physical information.  Ridgewood students...

Spring has sprung.  I hope everyone has had a relaxing two week break and is now ready to get back to the grind.  With the weather showing signs of warming, we need to discuss dress code.  When you registered, you were given the RISD #41 Discipline Code Book (yellow book). Any article containing profanity, promoting violence, alcohol, tobacco, or beer logos is prohibited. Revealing...

Good Morning Roadrunners, Last week reminded us severe weather season is here.  Our thoughts go out to those close to here that suffered damage or deaths.  Please understand that your child’s safety is our number one priority and the following guidelines have been established to meet that priority.   IF WE ARE UNDER A SEVERE WARNING OF ANY TYPE, YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL THE THREAT HAS CLEARED!!!  Even if the bell rings, students will not be dismissed and you will not be able to take your child from the building until all severe weather has moved from the area. If you are in your car or waiting outside, you are more than welcome to come in and take shelter with us until the threat has cleared.   As always if you have any questions please email or call. Here is what...

Ridgewood Minute 4/9

Good Morning Ridgewood,   Yesterday we had an amazing opportunity to have author David Schwartz do assemblies with our students.  It was a great experience and we hope your child got a lot out of it.  I wanted to send a reminder about a some upcoming events.   School Spring pictures are tomorrow. Every student will have their picture taken.   Our big PTG fundraiser is underway. Please do the best you can as all the proceeds help EVERY student at Ridgewood.   On Wednesday, April 15th, from 6 – 7pm, Ridgewood will be hosting a Listening and Learning session presented by RISD #41 Teaching and Learning Department. We hope to see you there.  Students will be bringing home an information sheet if they haven’t already.   PTG will meet April 16th at 6:30 pm...

A few reminders…

Good morning.  We have a few reminders for you from Ridgewood.   Family Night is tomorrow. Please consider attending as it will be a great time.  Our own Mr. Gay will be demonstrating along with groups from Hy-Vee, RIFAC (Fencing demonstration), Public Library, University of Illinois Extension, and more.  Thank you to Mrs. Keck for all of her hard work in gathering supporters to help us provide a fun night.
