Roadrunner Parents: Hard to believe we are going into week 6 of 9 for the first quarter. There are a few major events happening this week. First, mid-terms either have gone out or are going out this week. Second, we have our fall frolic for PTG this Friday. Please consider attending this fun filled evening. It’s a great chance to mingle with other families and staff members outside of a school setting. I know the PTG is still looking for donations for their baskets. Please think donating to this great cause. Take a moment and reread the quote for this week. This quote has many meanings and can mean something different to each of you. For me, I think of how true it is. Working together as when a snowstorm comes together, there is nothing that can stop us. Read More →
Welcome to a new school year.
“Well done is better than well said.” —Benjamin Franklin Fellow Roadrunner Parents, Welcome to the first edition of the Roadrunner Hotline Newsletter. One housekeeping item before we start. If you are getting this message in error and wish to be removed, please scroll down to the bottom of this email and follow the instructions. Today’s quote seems to fit my sentiments when I walk the halls and grounds of Ridgewood. We have an outstanding staff that consistently goes above and beyond to help our students find success. Admittedly, there will be some days that we need to use some “tough love,” but most of the time it is our constant message to the kids that “we care” which does the trick. “There may be people that have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.”
Dear Roadrunner Family: It’s hard to imagine, but we only have 7 school days left until Fall Break. Both teachers and students are working hard through the 1st Quarter finish line. Throughout the media we have seen many tragic stories or situations happening over the last few weeks. This is a growing concern because many of our young people look up to these individuals. While walking the halls or talking to students, I see plenty of hope and I am optimistic. Whether you believe it or not, and while they may not tell you directly, the biggest role model our students have is you. Take the time to talk with your student to make sure they know the biggest cheerleader they have is you, and you will be there for them through anything. PTG News: Thank you to everyone...
