Greetings!
The next meeting of the band parent group will take place on Wednesday, September 7, at 6:00 p.m. in the basement orchestra room at RIHS (enter through the north, band-side, doors). We will be discussing, among other things, the upcoming Preview Night on September 21.

If you are interested in ordering marching band t-shirts or hoodies from RIMA, please download a copy of the order form linked below. There is a new design this year! Please note the deadline is next Monday, August 15th – we want to be wearing these in the Labor Day parades if possible, so please get your order in as soon as possible!

The first band parents meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, at 5:00 p.m. at the high school band room. Topics for discussion will include the band camp picnic on Friday, July 29, and the new t-shirt design. Please plan on attending; all are welcome! Please contact Avis Tripilas with any questions.

It’s that time again. We will be fitting uniforms during band camp evening rehearsals starting at 6pm on Monday July 18th, and continuing on Tuesday July 19th and Wednesday July 20th if needed. We need several people to accomplish this task. No special skills required. We will be fitting all the students in pants and coats, fitting the freshman and any new students to marching band with hats, and shoes. We need people to write down uniform numbers assigned, and teach them how to hang their uniforms correctly. New parents welcome to join us and learn the process. Students should wear or bring with them shorts that will fit under the uniform pants, as this will help with correct fitting. Monday with be mostly returning students, hopefully Tuesday will be mostly new students to marching band. If any questions feel free to contact me NancyPTAsst@mchsi.com.

It’ll be July before you know it, so it’s time to start thinking about volunteering at the RIMA Band tent at the JDC! This is one of the band’s biggest fundraisers, so please consider working a shift, or even a whole day, out at Deere Run!
