Longfellow’s NEW Playground

Over 100 volunteers helped in building the playground including staff, parents, neighborhood volunteers, Longfellow Booster Club, and Augustana staff and students.  Apprentices from the Carpenter Apprentice program volunteered their skills along with their instructors. Join Hands Day

Student Council members worked in the Longfellow Butterfly Garden, planting, pruning, and doing Spring Clean up on Saturday, May 7th.

Students donate to Red Cross for Japan

Longfellow students donated $518.12 to the American Red Cross Relief Efforts for Japan through classroom collections and proceeds from all school Talent Show. Students added a personal link to a chain when their money was donated. Classrooms joined their chains to complete a Longfellow School chain showing support to help Japan.

Ronald McDonald visits

Ronald McDonald presented a No Bullying Assembly to Longfellow students on April 28th reinforcing good behavior and friendship as the students prepare for their new playground equipment.
