Book Shack Receives Award
Congratulations to 4th grade teacher, Jan Carpenter, for the $500 award giving to the Frances Willard Book Shack program. The Rock Island Foundation selected Ms. Carpenter’s grant application to receive $500 for the continued dedication to student learning. One of her Book Shack volunteers attended the ceremony to receive the $500 check. Congratulations!

Over a hundred Frances Willard students, families, faculty and staff participated in the Rock Island Labor Day Parade. We loved showing our Frances Willard school spirit as we walked, sang, and chanted throughout the parade route!

Frances Willard Instrument Drive
The 1st Frances Willard Instrument Drive was a huge success. We collected a violin, (2) saxophones, clarinet, trumpet, french horn and a baritone. We also had 9 instrument rental scholarships donated. The students of Frances Willard thank you!
