2007-2010
1. To instruct students at all grade levels so that the percentage of Grade 3 and Grade 5 students scoring at meets or exceeds in Math will increase from 76.9% to 80% by the end of 2008-2009 school year as measured by ISAT administered in March, 2009.
2. To instruct students at all grade levels so that the percentage of Grade 3 and Grade 5 students scoring at meets or exceeds in Reading will increase from 70.5% to 75% by the end of 2008-2009 school year as measured by ISAT administered in March, 2009.
3. To raise our Earl Hanson Elementary School percentage on the Student Satisfaction Surveys from the current 82% in Respect and 62% in Safety to 85% on the Spring, 2009 Surveys.

SIP Goals and Outcomes for 2006-07
1.) While our current achievement in Reading for all subgroups is 62.5% meeting/exceeding for ISAT, all subgroups will make AYP of at least 67.5% in 2007 and 72.5% in 2008 Safe Harbor. Did not Meet-decreased by 2%

3.) Our data in our SWIS(Student Wide Information System) shows that students received 201 discipline referrals during the 2006 school year. Utilizing PBIS(Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) referrals will be reduced to 176 during the 2007 school year and down to 151 during the 2008 school year.

2.) To instruct students at all grade levels so that the percentage of Grade 3 and Grade 5 students scoring at meets or exceeds in Reading will increase from 60.5% to 85% by the end of 2007-08 school year as measured by ISAT administered in March, 2008.
3.) To increase the satisfaction percentage of students and parents on our Spring Survey to 85%.
Action Plan Summary for 2007-08
Reading
- Pull-out services to meet the needs of students, identified as at risk by not currently meeting standards, are provided by our Interventionists using a Flexible Delivery System Model. These services provide instruction so that student not currently making acceptable progress will be able to do so.
- Continuous assessment will be used to drive instruction of reading comprehension applying the CARS reading comprehension strategies tools for grades 1-6.
- DIBELS assessments, data, and progress monitoring will provide guidance for teachers to meet the needs of our students in all settings.
- Grade 1-6 will utilize Accelerated Reader and STAR, collecting data at the beginning and the end of the school year.
- Analyze the current test data to adjust instruction to meet the needs of our students.
- Review data and utilize current data: ISAT, ITBS, DIBELS, CARS, ISEL, DRA, QRI.
- Parents will be taught reading strategies with their children through the LAFF Program.
- After school Academic Intervention each quarter for targeted students.
Math
- Houghton-Mifflin Math, Accelerated Math, Mountain Math, Math Problem Solving Stategies and other related resources will be used to teach key math concepts and to promote higher order thinking skills and problem solving strategies.
- Professional Development will be provided to focus of how to effectively teach, model, and practice problem-solving skills along, with Extended Written Response in math as required on ISAT, at all grade levels.
- Grade 1-6 will utilize Accelerated Math and STAR, collecting data at the beginning and the end of the school year.
- Creation of a vertically aligned blueprint listing essential math skills to be mastered at each of the K-6 grade levels, along with a time table for their delivery and the means of assessment them.
