Parent Involvement and Opportunities

Denkmann offers a compact for volunteer hours from parents at the school. The most common ways for parents to interact with the school is through the PTA, room volunteers, the School Leadership Team, Special Events, and the School Survey.

Conflict Resolution or PBIS (Positive Behavior In Schools)

The district discipline handbook is followed at all times.  The Denkmann Timberwolfe Traits are used throughout the building in order to promote positive behavior and build good character.   The traits are Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness and There and Ready.

Safety, Parking, Crossing Guards

For safety, there is a designated pick up and drop off area at the school. Students may come onto school grounds at 8:10 a.m. (unless they are eating breakfast). At 8:20 a.m., students line up to come into the building and school starts at 8:30 a.m. Denkmann also has both child and adult crossing guards.

Playground Time & Supervision

School-wide recess is only scheduled during the students’ lunchtime. Our primary class usually takes an added recess in the afternoon. The additional recess times vary from class to class. During these times volunteers, aides, teachers, and the principal supervise the children in their play.
