New Emergency Notification System TEST on APRIL 17 @ 10am.

The Rock Island/Milan School District 41 has purchased a new Emergency Notification System which can distribute messages via phone, email and/or text. Along with notifications about closures or other emergencies, the system will be used in the near future for Attendance, truancy, lunch balance, etc. A TEST PHONE CALL WILL BE MADE WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17 @ 10am. Any numbers in your student’s contact information will be called. There is NO NEED TO CONTACT THE SCHOOL unless the information is incorrect. Participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Education Survey

Teachers, parents and students across Illinois have an opportunity to participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Survey: Organizing Schools for Improvement. This survey was designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school. As a parent, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about your child’s school. The Illinois 5Essentials Survey will be administered online by UChicago Impact at the University of Chicago, on behalf of the Illinois School Board of Education. This survey identifies five indicators that can lead to important student outcomes, including improved attendance and larger test score gains.
