| Rock Island Fieldhouse was built in 1959, with a seating capacity of 6189. It is one of the largest high school gymnasiums in the state of Illinois. It has hosted a number of outstanding basketball games, including IHSA Sectionals and Super-Sectionals. Throughout the years, there have also been several other athletic events and concerts. It is also the site of the Rock Island High School Commencement Ceremonies when the weather forces them inside. |
| The fieldhouse addition also serves as home to the Rocky boys and girls swimming teams, volleyball team, and wrestling team. The basketball locker room received renovations in the 1990′s, while the main gym lobby and entrance was extended and given a facelift in the summer of 2001. |
