• When you finish the book, find the title on this site and post your comments and your name.  Leave enough to let us know that you’ve read the book and we’ll enter you into the…

ABE$ FOR ABES DRAWING

• You will be entered into a drawing to win $5 every time you finish a book and post your review and your name. 

VOTE!

• After you read five of the books on the list, you will be “registered to vote.” In February of 2010, high school students throughout Illinois will vote to decide which of the nominated books will be the Abraham Lincoln book award winner.  We will give you a ballot and tally and send your votes to the Illinois School Library Media Association to be counted.

The Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award
The Abraham Lincoln Award is awarded annually to the author of the book voted as most outstanding by participating students in grades nine through twelve in Illinois. The award is named for Abraham Lincoln, one of Illinois’ most famous residents and himself an avid reader and noted author. The award is sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association (ISLMA).The Abraham Lincoln Award is designed to encourage high school students to read for personal satisfaction and become familiar with authors of young adult and adult books.
